Here is a illustration that I recently made. Tried to keep it simple and minimalistic. I liked playing around with the color tones trying to set a real vibe. Maybe I’m gonna check if I can print these on single canvasses.

Ive bin ill for most of last week, and now I will be very busy with school/internship/freelance projects and other stuff so I don’t know if next week will be a productive leggozcreations week. So here are some old sketches I made a while ago. Just typographic experiments, nothing exciting but it’s nice to show some sketches once in a while. I wanted a vintage kinda look (somewhere about 1988…duh). Not with bright colors but a more classic look.

Yesterday I found a self-made picture from last year of the station in Den Bosch, Played around with it in photoshop and illustrator and this came out. I like the sphere that the two colors create. I made two color options. The other thing that I like on this one is the railway made out of type glyps.

Lately I’ve gotten inspired by the amazing simplistic style from this kind of posters. check some over here, here, and here. I think its really great simplistic, sober, rich art. They usually are band-posters, or concert posters. It’s so much better than all the flashy, shiny sh*t that you often see nowadays, and this is something that almost everybody understands. I have been experimenting last weekend, trying to get a cool image. Only using 2-3 colors and nice typography. I went trough my linotype library and made a map with appropriate fonts that I could use with this stylo. The text I used are mostly Death Cab For Cutie lyrics. I will certainly continue to work with this style, and try to get better with it, although I always try to work in as much varied styles as possible to keep it fresh and interesting. I would hate it if I would do the same trick over and over again, and get recognizable for only one particular style. Enough talking, here are the quick sketches I made so far…

A fresh project by Pieter and myself, Konickx & van Zoggel, check it out over here. We designed a grid, in wich we could make our own font.
Here are some impressions:

I love playing with this kind of style. The different layers with different opacity and different coloring just gives the images a little bit extra power. Kinda psychedelic.
