I know Pieter Konickx for a couple of years now. We did highschool and SintLucas(graphic design course) together, and he’s also studying Creative Advertising in Lincoln now. When we live and study in Lincoln we have different creative partners, as you know I’m doing the majority of my projects with Neil. But because Pieter and me are back in Holland for the summer holidays we decided to team up for the time being and get ourselves some bookcrits in Amsterdam to see how the advertising agencies are there. And so we did! We went to Ogilvy and W+K yesterday. We did some new projects the days before and took the train from our hometown Rosmalen to the big city, Amsterdam. The crit at Ogilvy went surprisingly well, a really nice inspiring building and Darre, the creative director, was a really down to earth guy. The crit/conversation went really natural and we even got what we dreamed of, a internship. It’s gonna be a week full of creativity! Keith at W+K was really pressed with time so we only got to meet him for a minute…more on that later hopefully. We already have a place to crash in Amsterdam and are preparing for the intensive but awesome week that we have ahead!

Finishing of some last copy the day before the crits at the local library in our hometown.

The famous Amsterdam canals…and bicycles…and luckily..the sun!
