Last week when I was at Ogilvy, i had to pop in the train back to my homestead on Tuesday because I was expected for a special occasion. Over the last year or so I designed a book for the 75th anniversary of the local football club – where I spend my youth kicking a ball until I moved to England. I designed it mostly when I was in England and sended countless pdf’s to Holland and I got numerous emails providing me with new copy and photo’s. It felt really good to be able to do something for that club now that I moved to England and stopped my ‘carreer’ there. Anyway, myself and 2 of the sponsors drove to a little airport where a beautifull chopper was waiting for us. We flew to the football club and landed on the pitch where all the people where waiting for us. It was an awesom experience to sit in a chopper! I had the first copy of the book with me and it was presented to the oldest member of the club. There was some press and for a second it made me feel really important. The presentation went really well and I’m happy that I did this project for all those people.
