Stumbled upon this 1943 Willys Jeep in the Lincoln high-street yesterday. Ive always been interested in WW2, and visited many museums, but never saw a real Thompson up close! Too bad they didn’t let me hop on and stand behind the 50.cal for abit!

I recently saw ‘Moon’ in cinema. Didn’t really know what to expect…just went for it. I was really struck by the set design, costume design, ..just the whole film in general was really good in every aspect. Interesting story, good casting, and just the whole vibe felt right. Really good film! If u still can, go and check it in the cinema

Last week I had my best friend back from Holland visiting. It’s good to extend your horizon, And live and study/work abroad like I did, But consider that you also leave a lot behind. But it was really good to spend some time again and catch up. We went for lush dinners, played some football, watched a good film, drank refreshing pints, had nice lunches, I even gave a little cultural tour around Lincoln, we played some darts, went out, but mostly…talked about all the fun times ‘back in the days’! There was some trouble with his journey back home to Holland…but he landed safe and sound in the end.

After Dave Morris’s lectures/workshops we were visited by Mike Waudby to give a full day of workshops. This time we tackled some copy-based briefs. Really good lesson to get more focused on your specific target audience. Have a look around on Mike’s website.
Was in the pub the other night with some Dutch friends, playing some good old darts…and..threw my first ever 180!! Directly followed by a 140… The counting machine thingy even played a little song for me. hooray!
After last may’s round of crits in London we are going back with a new book to London, this time around were visiting AMV BBDO, McCann and Mother. Hopefully we meet more inspiring people and start to build a relationship with them so we can go back time and time again to show improvements and hopefully get a placement after a while. Because we are third(final) years our tutors dont allow us any days off..so luckily we found a little gap in our timetable so we can travel to London for one day. Not as good as the full 3 days in last may…but hopefully we can find more days where we can travel down to London. exciting times.
